HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
This week's gone by so fast!!!! We've had lots of service opportunities this week and all of them have been CRAZY and WEIRD. I'll start with the first one, so Wednesday we volunteered at bingo at the old folks home as per usual. And we got there a little early so the ladies didn't have the cards yet, so we're like "we can just pass these out". So we start passing them out randomly and that was our first mistake right there lol cause one resident apparently always got a specific card, which we gave to a different resident and she was FURIOUS, it took 10 minutes to sort it out, in the end she stormed out and bingo went on. On the bright side I got my first bingo 3 weeks since being here.
We also had a surprise service opportunity. On Friday (our weekly planning day) our area book planner on our phones shut down because we merged into the new mission, and so we helped our neighbor Amy clean her house with our other neighbor Rita until Area Book was up and running again.
We also helped a less active member clean her house.
We also helped our friend Dela at her church that does this clothes donation thing, which was fun but super dusty! We gave her a Book of Mormon after! And said she'd give it a read.
We also visited with Sister Jex and the Boyd family who are both less active. And Sister Jex came to Church this Sunday!!!!!!!!!! #Blessings!!!
We also had exchanges this week!! It was so fun!!!! I went to Douglas with Sister Carver, which was super funny because she's new in the area and I didn't know anything about the area either, so we had a lot of GPS adventures. we did a lot of finding together and found 2 referrals for the Elders, and a possible new person!!! His name is Louis and he was taught in the past and seemed interested in learning more.
We're planning on doing a lot of finding and following up with less actives this week, so keep us in your prayers.
My favorite thing I read this week was was D&C 6:23 often our most powerful witness of the Savior is the peace he brings into our hearts and minds during challenging times.
I love you all so much and I hope y'all have a blessed week!!!
