Greetings from Florida!!!!!!πΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ
We had some really cool miracles this week, one of them pretty crazy. So last Monday after preparation day we went to go try this inactive lady Sister Carmichael, and she opened the door! And we talked to her for a while outside her door and all of the sudden I started feeling really light headed and I was like 'this is weird I hope I don't pass out', and then I passed out lol, I woke up like 10 seconds later and Sister Adams helped me into Sister Carmichael's house and we called the mission nurse and i snacked on Gatorade and crackers and we just chilled out with Sister Carmichael, I think I passed out cause that was the day we went to the beach and we were outside in the heat all day. So part of the miracle is that Sister Carmichael passes out sometimes and so she knew exactly what to do, like 5 seconds after I walked into her house she gave me crackers and Gatorade. But the REAL miracle is the only reason we were at her house is that we had set up a lesson with Mark whose normally super solid but that fell through. And I was driving that day, so it was a true miracle that he fell through and that I was at Sister Carmichael's instead of driving. Heavenly Father truly knows every aspect of our lives and will help us even if we don't think we need help.
We had a really great lesson with Abraham and Isaac this last Thursday. We've been going back to the basics with them and trying to come up with fun activity lessons to keep them engaged cos they're pretty young with real short attention spans. So if y'all have any ideas for activity lessons, let me know. Anyways so we had a lesson on faith with them and we planted tomato plants and challenged them that every time they water them to water their faith by reading the Book of Mormon
We also got a crazy referral this week, and so we went over to their house not knowing what to expect and oh man it was interesting. So we go over to teach them and we got to know them and they asked us what our favorite scriptures are and so we shared them, and then they asked us to share other favorite scriptures with them and we're like ok? Btw both of them were raised in our church and they insisted that we sing 'I am a child of God with them'and so we did it was pretty awkward, but fun. Lol then one of them got drunk in the middle of our lesson π€¦♀️and she kept wanting us to read Johm 8:12 with her. So we were able to teach our lesson and set up a return appointment for Wednesday, so we'll have to see how that goes¯\_(γ)_/¯
Conference was amazing!!! We watched the Saturday morning session with Sister Hoopes who is this amazing sister in our ward she is so nice!!!! We then watched the afternoon session with President and sister Wood. My favorite speakers from the Saturday session were Jeffrey R Holland, I loved how he used the scriptures in Luke 18:35-43. I also thought the story Stephen W Owen shared about the deer and the importance of being spiritually nourished, not just fed. I also LOVED the story of the 2 cheetah's from Elder Bednar's talk.
For the women's session we had a cake and ice cream social at our church building and we all watched the session together. My favourite speakers in those were Reyna Aburto and President Eyring.
Sunday was extra special because it was Sister Adam's Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really wanted to go all out so in the morning I made her breakfast and blew up a bunch of balloons

afterwards we went over to Sister Hoopes to watchthe morning session (and I had tipped her off earlier that it was Sister Adam's birthday on Sunday and that her favorite food was spaghetti) and so while we were over there Sister Hoopes surprised is with Spaghetti and birthday cake! Then we watched oneof my favorite talks by Elder Utchdorf!!!!! I love how he compared our gospel principles to The Lord of the Rings!!!!!!!!! I was smiling the whole time it was awesome! Probably my favorite talk. Then for the afternoon session we went over to the Lofgran's house. It was so fun because they have a little 2 year old Grayson! She was so cute! My favorite speakers in the afternoon session were Peter M Jonson, and Russell M Nelson. We then had birthday cinnamon buns for sister Adam's. Overall it was a pretty lit birthday! I made sister Adam's this lil decoration thing out of seashells I found at the beach last Monday, she' the best!!! It's hard to believe that my lil baby is 20!
As for conference I thought that there were major themes of Joy, Integrity, The Plan of Salvation, true conversion and the gathering of isreal this conference, we are so blessed to have a modern day prophet!
Wow that was a long email, anyways my favorite thing I read this week was Alma 32, because faith is a part of everything we do, and if our faith is centered in Jesus Christ we can do anything.
I Love you all!!!!!!!!
Sister Maller
